Abstract

The research report is about the feast of the La Virgen del Rosario, typical of the district of Paucartambo, Cuzco. The objectives were to describe the characteristics of the Paucartambo dances and to transcribe them musically, as well as to define in its main features the music of the dance of Inkari Maqana.
First a research project was elaborated, then the field work was done through interviews and recordings that were made to the solitary group of Paucartambo, then the theoretical framework was developed where the bibliography was also structured, the data was processed and the present investigation report was prepared. The work responded to all the proposed objectives.
