Abstract

On the basis of the chronological analysis, a list of 56 recurrences is made and the need arises for the scheduling of the festivities where Tunantada intervenes as a ritual expression of one devotion of Andean Catholicism, for the social recognition of the cults of the important or affluent families of a population and of the popular ones; contributing an explanatory method of the temporal and spatial dispersion that it has within the annual festive cycle in the province of Jauja and its districts. This calendar can also serve to monitor the changes that are taking place in this dance, affected by globalization and recognized as the nation’s cultural heritage.
